• On April Fool's Day (perfect, huh?) I was just sitting around my apartment, disinterestedly watching a basketball game on TV, when my phone buzzed. It was Cassie. She'd sent me a text. My heart skipped a beat and I felt the nerves tightening in my chest as I picked it up and clicked in to read it.
• "Hey Mike, What's up?" Still nervous, I of course wondered what she wanted. She had almost never texted me, and not at all since her mom and I broke up.
